Ordinances
Ordinances prescribe permanent rules and regulations of conduct or government. Unless otherwise provided for in the City Charter, ordinances become effective at the expiration of thirty (30) days after adoption or at any later date specified therein.
Resolutions
Resolutions are orders of Council that provide administrative direction on matters of a special or temporary nature through the execution of a law already in effect. A resolution takes effect immediately or as set forth within the resolution.
