The City of Trotwood contracts with Rumpke for trash collection and recycling for all residents and businesses in the community.  To establish a billing account, please call the City's Utility Billing office at 937/854-7210.  If you have specific questions about the types of items that can be recycled or items for bulk trash pickup please call Rumpke directly at 937-461-0004.

Please note, Rumpke observes the following holidays: 

  • New Year’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

If the holiday is the day-of or a weekday before your service day:

Service will be delayed one day that week.

If the holiday is on a weekend or a weekday after your service day:

Service will remain as scheduled.

Recycling is provided on a weekly basis at no additional charge on the same day your trash is collected.  A free recycling tote is provided to each residence upon request.  Additional resources are available to residents who wish to recycle.  This information is provided below.
