  • Assist local businesses to expand their facilities and create more jobs
  • Conduct over 50 annual retention and expansion visits to local businesses
  • Provide local businesses with economic expertise
  • Use Montgomery County's award-winning Business First software tracking program

Recent Retention and Expansion success stories include J.W. Devers & Son, Inc. In looking for a way to expand this 110-year old business located in Olde Town, Devers President Jerry Haupt turned to Trotwood. Through its collaborative efforts with its Business First resource partner CountyCorp, the city:

  • Assisted Devers in obtaining $450,000 grant
  • Facilitated their purchase of former Trotwood fire station
  • Helped Devers redevelop historic structure into their Mobility Division operations
  • Helped them create 2 new jobs and retain 19
