Waste Collection & Recycling

The City of Trotwood contracts with Rumpke for trash collection and recycling for all residents and businesses in the community.  To establish a billing account, please call the City's Utility Billing office at 937/854-7210.  If you have specific questions about the types of items that can be recycled, items for bulk trash pickup, or how holidays affect your trash pickup schedule, call Rumpke directly at 937/461-0004.

Recycling is provided on a weekly basis at no additional charge on the same day your trash is collected.  A free recycling tote is provided to each residence upon request.  Additional resources are available to residents who wish to recycle.  This information is provided below.

Rumpke's "Look Who's Recycling" Program

On June 5, 2015, the City and Rumpke will kick off an incentive program to recognize and reward recyclers, while encouraging more households to take advantage of the service.  Residents who are already recycling or would like to start, and want to participate in this program, may complete the Recycling Pledge Form by clicking on the link below.  Or, residents may obtain a Pledge Form at the City's government center located at 3035 Olive Road, 2nd Floor, Trotwood, Ohio 45426, or by contacting Rita Klosterman, Utility Billing Clerk, at 937/854-7210 or via email at rklosterman@trotwood.org.

Click on Recycling Pledge Form to access the Pledge Form.

One recycling residence will be selected at the end of August 2015 to receive a $100.00 gift card to The Taste Restaurant located on Shiloh Springs Road in Trotwood.  Additional gift cards will be awarded every few months for the next year.

This program is open to Trotwood residents only and participation will be verified.  There is no extra cost to residents to use the weekly recycling service, which includes a 65-gallon recycling cart.  Simply contact Rumpke to receive your cart.
