Nature of Work
The Account Clerk reports to the Assistant Finance Director and is responsible for customer service, data entry, clerical, and other work as required and directed for the day-to-day operation of the Trotwood Utility Billing Office.

Recruiting Requirements
 High School Diploma/GED, post-secondary courses in bookkeeping or office administration preferred
 Two years of clerical experience; experience in a municipal environment is a plus
 Proficient in operating ten key calculator and Microsoft Word and Excel applications, and making mathematical calculations.

Essential Functions
 Assist customers at utility counter
 Answer customer service phone lines
 Performs data entry of receipts
 Drafts and prepares mailing of specialized letters
 Audit customer accounts
 Handling and balancing of cash drawer
 Sorts, alphabetizes and files records according to retention schedule
 Perform final and/or special meter reads to verify account and billing information.
 Process utility bills for distribution by third party
 Operates computer work station, ten key calculator and all office machines.
 Performs all other duties as assigned.

Salary: Hourly Range $16.99-$21.94 DOQ
