About Set the Banquet Table dba Miami Valley Meals
In March 2020 as worries of the COVID-19 pandemic were emerging, Chef Matt DeAngulo activated a team of recently unemployed Chefs and culinary professionals to assist by quickly and efficiently bulk preparing nutritious food. They began their efforts at the House of Bread and shortly after, St. Vincent de Paul, the Life Enrichment Center, and now Daybreak. Bulk meals are created with recovered food from The Foodbank, and delivered to more than 20 organizations across the Miami Valley on a weekly basis with that number growing each month. Miami Valley Meals joins other partners in the community collaborative collective impact project- the MVM Coalition, which includes partners such as the Miami Valley Community Action Partnership, East End Community Services, Set the Banquet Table, Hall Hunger Initiative, Montgomery County Food Equity Coalition, Declare and more.
