The award focused on safety equipment and safety-related projects. Trotwood Police Department will use the award to purchase traffic batons to provide high visibility for officers while directing traffic. Currently, Trotwood PD does not have any working batons and this absence causes officers to work in very low light conditions which is a safety concern.
