“Growing Communities” is a grant-funded program based in local communities that includes beginning farmer classes, incubator farms and health and wellness programming.

This free event will include displays by Central State Extension, local health partners, activities for adults and children, farmers market and more.

The event will also feature a tour of the incubator farm plots and information about the beginning farmer program. One of the goals of the program is to introduce underrepresented populations and military veterans to the opportunities in farming and to increase fresh produce availability and consumption in the surrounding community.
