Clothes That Work and cabi Partner Together
to Serve Women Impacted by Memorial Day Weekend Tornadoes
Nearly 1,000 Dayton Women to Receive 3,000 Brand-New Garments on November 9

October 18, 2019 – On November 9 from 10 a.m.–2 p.m., Dayton nonprofit Clothes That Work and cabi, the nation’s largest social-selling women’s clothing company, will host a day of pampering and self-care for 900 local women impacted by the Memorial Day weekend tornadoes.

The women, whose clothing was lost or destroyed in the disaster, can choose from 3,000 brand-new pieces of clothing donated by The Heart of cabi Foundation. Local cabi Stylists will also donate additional gently-worn clothes for the event.

Event organizer and local cabi Stylist Kim Peters says, “I’m so excited to bring together two wonderful organizations to benefit the women of Dayton. In difficult times, it’s important we show up for our neighbors and both Clothes That Work and The Heart of cabi exemplify that.”

“We’re proud to partner with The Heart of cabi for this event. Their commitment to community and affecting lives through relationships is exactly what we’re aiming to do with this event,” says Cindy Garner, Executive Director of Clothes That Work. “Clothes That Work’s mission to inspire confidence and create opportunity is made all the more possible with their generous donation.”

In partnership with the Dayton Area Red Cross, tornado victims will be asked to provide proof of loss via an insurance claim, a FEMA approval letter, or a letter from the Red Cross. The event will be held at Clothes That Work at 1133 S. Edwin C Moses Blvd., Suite 392, Entrance A in Dayton, Ohio.
