The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio is holding two local public hearings regarding AES Ohio’s application to establish a three-year rate plan and seek an increase in its annual revenues for electric distribution service.
Public Hearings:
– Thursday, July 9th at 1:00 pm at the Planning and Resource Center mezzanine floor at Dayton City Hall (101 W. Third St, Dayton, OH, 45402)
– Thursday, July 16th at 6:00 pm in the Dayton City Commission Chambers (101 W. Third St, Dayton, OH, 45402)
The recommendations, if approved, would mean an increase in some Dayton-area electric bills of $2.88 a month in the second year of a multiyear rate plan, for households using 1,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity a month, a spokesman for the PUCO said Thursday, May 21.
The higher electric rates have been recommended, but not formally approved.
