Local Radio Personality LIVES In A Firehouse for 9th Annual Holiday Help Out Food Drive | Supporting Food Pantries And Holiday Meals For Local Families”
92.1 WROU-FM and Hot 102.9 WDHT-FM are excited to continue their long tradition of community involvement with the Annual “Holiday Help Out” Food Drive. This Community event happens through a partnership with the City of Trotwood and Good Neighbor House
This year the need is greater than ever for holiday food donations from the community. For the 9th year, 92.1 WROU’s Faith Daniels will actually LIVE in The Trotwood Fire Department Station #72 at 5469 Little Richmond Rd., Trotwood for all 3 days.
Beginning at 6 AM Friday morning the teams will broadcast live for the entire weekend while collecting donations, non-perishable food items, personal care products as well as gloves and hats AROUND THE CLOCK. Alpha Media Sister stations Hot 102.9’s Kev Nash and 1410 ESPN’s Justin Kinner will join the live broadcast each day during the food drive as well.
Miami Valley families are food insecure and will need a food pantry to survive during the holiday season. The food donations will provide a holiday meal for needy families and will replenish the 9 pantries of The Good Neighbor House helping to support families that will need help even after the holiday season. All donations can be made without leaving the comfort of the vehicle. Additional ways to give can be found at www.921wrou.com
WROU Program Director and On-air personality Faith Daniels says, “This annual food drive is always important but this year more than ever! We know so many working families are food insecure and just want to do our part to help. This giveback is only possible with the help of the community and our partners, The City of Trotwood, Firehouse #72, and Chief Haacke, Atty. Blake R. Maislin, The Steve Harvey Morning Show Turkey Give, The Cartwright Family Foundation, Realtor Sean Lightfoot, Teddy Byrd Promotions, Titan Graphics, Raising Canes, Abundant Life Christ-Centered Ministries, and our LOYAL listeners and supporters.”
Alpha Media Operations Manager Kev Nash states, “We are so grateful each year for the generosity of the local Dayton community and Faith Daniels’s tireless efforts to spearhead the Holiday Help Out. It means so much to be able to help those in need.”
