Energy Harbor Electric Aggregation Program Participants

Charles WheelerCommunity News

In March of 2023, Trotwood city leaders joined with the Miami Valley Communications Council (MVCC) and other jurisdictions to vet and select Energy Harbor as our electric supplier.  The city has received notification that Energy Harbor has been purchased by Dynegy.  Customers/aggregation participants are now receiving notices regarding Dynegy’s recent acquisition of Energy Harbor; this is a normal transition, and no fraud/scam has occurred.

No action is needed on your part when these notices arrive, if you choose to continue enrollment in this benefit.

There will also be a follow-up letter from your utility (in most cases, this will be AES) notifying you that your contract with Energy Harbor is ending and you are being switched over to Dynegy.  Again, no action is needed when these notices arrive if you wish to continue participating in the program.

This means, even though there is a new energy supplier, your electricity service will remain uninterrupted, and your aggregation rate of $.0657 will remain the same until December 2025.

The City of Trotwood will work with MVCC to continue the group purchasing arrangement and will notify the community of updates as they occur.  Please watch our website at https://trotwood.org/notifications/  or sign up for alerts through Hyper-reach by calling 937-563-4666, texting “Alerts” to 937-563-4666, or  https://hyper-reach.com/ohtrotwoodsignup.html.

If you have any questions, please contact Dynegy at 888-682-2170 Monday through Friday, 8 AM-11 PM EST.

Thank you!
