City of Trotwood requests citizen assistance for grant application to expand broadband options.

Gwendolyn FouCommunity News

The City of Trotwood has applied for grant funding to expand broadband internet options in the city.  Goals for the application include making broadband more accessible and affordable throughout the city for commercial and residential customers.

The City understands that high speed internet connectivity is imperative for both educational purposes and business expansion.  As such, this project is a high priority for the City of Trotwood.   In order to be competitive for the grant, the city must obtain information from citizens regarding the services they are receiving from internet providers in Trotwood.

Trotwood citizens are asked to conduct speed tests and enter that information on the city’s website.  From their home device, we need citizens to go to www.speedtest.net. Once citizens have obtained speed information, they are asked to go to https://trotwood.org/broadband-grant-survey/ to complete the brief survey.  Information will be collected until February 28, 2022.

For questions about the survey, citizens may call 937-854-7224.
