THE CITY OF TROTWOOD ANNOUNCES THE PROMOTION OF TYLER HAUCK TO THE POSITION OF PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Trotwood, Ohio July 11, 2025] – The City of Trotwood is proud to announce the promotion of Mr. Tyler Hauck, AICP, to the position of Planning and Development Director, effective June 27, 2025. 

Mr. Hauck brings a depth of experience in urban and regional planning, a passion for community-focused development, and a proven track record of leadership. As a certified member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP)—the professional institute of the American Planning Association (APA)—Mr. Hauck has demonstrated extensive planning expertise and a strong commitment to upholding the highest ethical and professional standards.  Mr. Hauck holds Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University and has held progressively responsible positions in the planning field. 

“Tyler’s promotion to Planning and Development Director reflects his outstanding contributions to the City of Trotwood and his unwavering commitment to thoughtful, strategic growth,” said City Manager Quincy E. Pope, Sr. “He embodies the City’s values of excellence, innovation, and service, and I am confident he will continue to lead with distinction and vision.” 

“Tyler is a true asset to our leadership team,” said Deputy City Manager Stephanie Kellum. “His professionalism, forward-thinking approach, and genuine engagement with the community make him the ideal leader to guide Trotwood’s planning and development into the future.” 

In his new role, Mr. Hauck will oversee long-range planning initiatives, zoning and land use policy, economic development strategies, code enforcement, and collaborative community development efforts. His leadership will be critical in helping to shape the city’s future.
