We invite all first responders to participate in the 2022 Operation Santa Sleigh in Dayton. This is a statewide event organized by Light Ohio Blue and supported by our partners at the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police, Buckeye State Sheriff’s Association, Ohio State Highway Patrol, and International Association of Fire Fighters.
Operation Santa Sleigh will occur simultaneously on Friday, December 23rd in seven different cities throughout Ohio where first responders will spread holiday cheer by visiting Children’s Hospitals and Veteran’s Hospitals in their cities in a procession of emergency vehicles with emergency lights activated.
Operations Santa Sleigh in Dayton will occur on Friday, December 23rd. Staging will be at Dayton Airport Expo Center, 3900 McCauley Drive, Vandalia, Ohio 45377, starting at 1800 hours and a departure time of 1830 hours.
The event not only raises the spirits of the patients, their families, and the staff at the locations visited, but also of the first responders and their families who participate. If you are not familiar with the annual Operation Santa’s Sleigh it is local first responders coming together to arrive at the locations and turn on their lights as a way letting everyone there to know they are remembered on the holidays and to let the children know we are lighting the way for Santa and his crew to arrive the following night.
