CenterPoint Energy is conducting inspections of natural gas meters and related equipment. The following CenterPoint contractors will be supporting meter inspections in your area:
– Paxon, Heath, WSB, UTI
What you can expect
• Contractors will be walking through neighborhoods to visually assess, photograph natural gas meters and equipment, and record meter numbers.
• Contractors may need to access your backyard to reach the meter — no entry to your home is required.
• All contractors performing these inspections will carry badges and identify themselves as CenterPoint contractors.
• The inspection should take less than 10 minutes and will take place near the meter and natural gas line area.
• Contractors will be conducting inspections 7 days a week, so you may see workers during the weekend.
• If we cannot access and inspect the meter at your home, you will receive a door tag, and the contractor will make another attempt while still in the area.
• Please verify your contract information is correct by logging into your account at CenterPointEnergy.com/MyAccount
If you ever feel unsure about someone claiming to be a contractor, please:
• Ask to see their ID badge. All workers and contractors will gladly show them upon request.
• Contact CenterPoint to verify contractors are in your area.
• Contact your local authorities if needed.
