The Trotwood Police Department will be reviewed by a CALEA (Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies) Assessment Team for their eighth reaccreditation for the department. The department has been accredited since 2003. The Accreditation review will take place Monday, November 9th, through Thursday, November 13th, 2025.
The Trotwood Police Department is having this on-site assessment as part of a program to achieve accreditation by verifying our professional standards administered by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA). The program requires agencies to comply with state-of-the-art standards in four basic areas: policy and procedures, administration, operations, and support services.
As part of the on-site assessment, members of the community are encouraged to offer comments, favorable or otherwise, at https://cimrs2.calea.org/805, the CALEA Accreditation Public Comment Portal, click on Accreditation Public Comment Portal. Comments will be accepted between now and Thursday, November 13, 2025.
