Get Ready to Cut Your Grass and Weeds, Trim Your Shrubbery and Trees, and Maintain Your Premises
 
Grass and Weed Season is right around the corner. Property owners are required to maintain their properties in compliance with Section 905.01, 905.02, and PMC §1345.04 (f) Of the Trotwood Codified Ordinance.
 
Keep weeds and grass UNDER eight (8) inches in height. Trim trees and shrubbery higher than twelve feet (12’) above the street or sidewalk and maintain visibility at corners. Pick up any rubbish, trash, or debris around your property. (Your responsibility extends to the street in front of your home.)
 
IMPORTANT If you fail to maintain your property, the City, authorized by Trotwood Codified Ordinance, will have someone cut/clear/clean it for you at the owner’s expense. (The minimum charge for each mowing occurrence is $400.00.) If you fail to pay the charge within 30 days of notice, it will be assessed to your tax bill according to ORC 731.54. LANDLORDS You are responsible for ensuring you or your tenants maintain your property. Violation notices are posted on the property.
