Fire Suppression

The City's Fire Suppression program provides superior fire and life safety services to all individuals and businesses in Trotwood. The Fire Suppression unit responds to all natural and man-made emergencies by operating from 3 stations with full-time and part-time personnel. In order to handle any fire emergency that arises, this program provides:
  • Fire Chief
  • 3 Battalion Chiefs
  • 6 Lieutenants
  • 2 Engine companies with 3 Firefighters
  • 1 Ladder company with 3 Firefighters
  • 1 Brush Fire Truck
  • 1 Engine/Tanker
  • 1 Rescue/Haz-mat/Air/Command Unit
  • 1 Technical Rescue Truck and Trailer w/Gator and Boat
  • 12 Full-time Firefighters and nearly 60 Part-time Firefighters
  • Aggressive training programs
  • AMAR agreements with Clayton, Dayton, Englewood, and Harrison Township
  • Basic hazardous materials intervention
  • Technical rescue expertise
